Starting to look like humans!

Here is the picture of our little ones at our last Dr. appointment on the 21st.  She had a hard time getting them both in the picture.  Here you can see Baby A's tummy and most of Baby B.
Both babies had heart rates of 168 bpm.  Baby A is the the bigger of the two and measured at 11w 2d.  Baby B measured at 10w 5d and was pretty active moving his/her little arms all over :)

12 weeks

First trimester: Check! The nausea, fatigue, mood swings, and bathroom dashes should soon fade, but (sorry!) headaches and dizziness will probably get more intense. The good news: You're about to embark on the second trimester, when mood and energy levels generally peak

Size of baby: Plum

Total Weight Gain/Loss: weight is fluctuating daily so maybe just a couple pounds.
Maternity Clothes: none yet. I did buy a belly band at Target because I noticed my work pants are getting very tight.

Gender: ? Mitch thinks we are having a boy and girl.  I still don't know what to think.  I don't have that motherly instinct telling me that yet :)

Movement: I can’t feel it yet but I’m anxious for that first little flutter.

Sleep: Last couple nights haven't been the greatest but I think that is just getting back in a routine after being at Country Stampede.

What I miss: Clamato bud light

Cravings: None really anymore, I was craving eggs rolls for the longest time and I never did get that craving satisfied.  I'll have to look into that :)

Symptoms: None lately - I feel like I'm stretching out alot though.

Best Moment This Week: I told the rest of my co-workers. It was fun to see their reactions - first to the news we are expecting, then to the news of twins!

Milestones: As you move into the second trimester, baby shifts into the growth and maturation stage. After weeks in the critical development stage, almost all of their systems are fully formed.

What I'm Looking Forward To: The 4th of July holiday weekend.  We have a BBQ with friends to attend and just catching up on things at the house.  This will be our 6 year anniversary of when we first started dating.

Growing

Picture on the left is the week we found out so right around 4 weeks.  Picture on the right is 12 weeks.  Starting to grow a bit!

Seeing Double

We went in for an ultrasound after having a little scare.  We were worried something was wrong but the ultrasound tech pointed out the heartbeat right away.  Then she pointed out the second heartbeat.  I sat straight up and looked at Mitch and said "Mitchell what did you do?!?"  haha...I don't think the ultrasound tech knew how to respond to that.  Neither of us have twins in our families.  We are very excited but also very nervous!

"This changes everything"

Quoting Mitch when I came in to the bedroom to tell him I was pregnant.  We found out on May 1st.

We told Mitch's family on May 8th for Mother's Day.  We had them over to our house for dinner that evening and then went through Mitch's photos from his trip to Vietnam.  The last photo was a picture of my pregnancy test.  Took everyone a second to get it, but they were all excited.

We told my family on May 14th when we were home for my youngest sisters high school graduation.  We let her open our gift which was a onesy that said "my aunt thinks I'm super".  She got it right away!  The whole family was excited.

This will be the first grandchild on both sides.
